I know you're going to have some questions, here's an attempt at some answers.

1. Why are you doing this?

I wanted to push out my social calendar of "free" nights to people to allow for better planning and socializing. Also, I want to allow for serendipity in planning, so if you see someone you've not seen in a while, you can jump on the bandwagon. Plus, I just want to see how well this works.

2. Why can't you just do this via email?

Email is inefficient due to multiple conversations that can happen. Also, it's hard to track. This way there's a single location for my socializing!

3. Why wouldn't you just use a calendar?

A couple reasons. Allowing you to access my regular calendar would mean that you see too much extraneous info (e.g. doctors appts, reminders). Further, in planning social events it's difficult to put in other information such as possible, but not definitive, locations.

4. How does this work?

I'll be looking 6 - 8 weeks out and sticking dates on here when I'm free. Merely add your name and suggestions for an activity (keep it clean, people!) to the list, so you can "claim" the night for socializing with yours truly. If a date isn't posted here, that means it is not free.

5. What times are good during the weekdays?

Any time after 6pm is fair game.

6. Is any particular area easier for you?

I live in the inner richmond, but will go out anywhere, especially coming from the east bay.
